Project Overview New Facilities Renovations or Improvements
This project consists of construction of four multi-purpose synthetic turf fields sized to accommodate football and lacrosse games and practice as well as baseball/softball practice, as well as six covered lit pickleball courts in addition to the twelve courts constructed with the Lake Wilmore Community Center project. Project scope includes fields, LED field lighting, restroom/concessions/storage building, parking and a playground for children ages 5-12. The project is part of the City of Auburn's Parks‚ Recreation‚ & Culture Master Plan.
The project has a total capital budget of $11,028,674.00 and is anticipated to finish by Jun 2, 2025.
Please note that project completion dates are subject to change based on weather and other conditions. Project anticipated finish dates may not coincide with actual day of opening.
Opening: An official facility opening date for the public will be coordinated by the contractor and City staff, and will be announced at a later date.

The contractor is attempting to balance the grading on the site. Surveyors are checking the amount of grading remaining. The contractor has encountered rock while installing sewer. A plan is being formulated to handle the rock.
